“Kalyn’s energy, passion and positive approach, along with her experience as a campus administrator, head of fine arts programs and her accolades as a performer will make her the perfect fit for this post.”

McAlester brings with her to this new position experience from elementary through high school education with roles ranging from teacher to instructional coach and campus administration. For the past eight years she has worked with Sherman ISD, most recently as Vice Principal at Fairview Elementary School.

McAlester is an accomplished musician who has performed around the world since childhood. In addition to singing and playing several instruments, she is also good at dancing and sign language and has experience as a sound technician.
