Senator Manager chooses Delta PDP form of government

The senator representing the Southern Delta Senatorial District, James Manager, was granted the status of Governor of Delta State from the People’s Democratic Party.

The fifth senator also began consulting with leaders from 25 local government areas in the state.

The organizer, Ebiowou Wene Ogbo International, Goddey Money, said so in a statement on Tuesday while seeking to support the senior lawmaker.

He noted that Manager started as State Chairman of the PDP and played a key role in the victory of leader James Ibori and was later appointed Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport.

According to the statement, Manager was also instrumental in the victory of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa whose term ends next year.

“As a high-ranking senator since 2003 representing the Delta South senatorial district which is the only power base of the PDP having lost the other two senatorial seats to the opposition party in the state, All Progressives Congress in says more about Sen James Manager steadfast, loyal and committed to partying.

“Sen. James Manager has since declared his intention to become the next Governor of Delta State and has consulted with leaders and stakeholders. He has also circled the 25 LGA party leaders and delegates who will vote in of the party primaries, he was welcomed and acclaimed in each of the local governments with his entourage,” the statement read in part.

Money said that in Bomadi, Burutu and Patani LGA the campaign was welcomed.

“Sen. James Manager’s priority areas will include: rural development, urban renewal, agriculture, youth empowerment, education, health and safety,” he added.
