Q&A with Narre Warren, Support Coordinator and Connected Founder, Dyllon Juriansz

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

When I was a junior playing cricket for McKinnon Cricket Club, I played against Brad Hodge, who was playing for Moorabbin Cricket Club at the time. Trying to bowl him was impossible even then, as he hit a 4 or a 6 almost every other ball.

What do you like about what you do?

I find it very gratifying to know that I have helped someone who was really depressed to regain their passion for life.

Who is the best person you have worked with and why?

I’ve worked with some great people over the years, but enjoyed working with the former manager – Cat – the most because she was confident in my skills and ability to do my job.

What would be your last meal?

It’s easy – lobster mornay for appetizer, main course and dessert!

What is your most memorable memory?

When I was there to witness the birth of my son.

What past or present event would you like to witness?

When Daniel Andrews loses the next state election.

Which three guests, dead or alive, would you invite to dinner?

Shane Warne, Kyrie Irving and Denzel Washington.

What are you currently listening to, watching or reading?

I am currently reviewing the Grimm series between Hunted.

If you had to compete on MasterChef, what dish would you cook?

I would probably make a homemade curry with side dishes like eggplant pickles, bean curry, and pumpkin curry. These are all recipes that have been passed down from my family.

What is your dream vacation destination?

The Greek Islands.

How were you as a child?

Obviously the wisest child ever!

What was your first job?

Stacking shelves at Coles supermarket.

What are the three most used apps on your phone?

Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

What is the question you always wanted to answer?

Why can’t they find a cure for type 1 diabetes?
