Canterbury City Council covers the city of Canterbury which has World Heritage status, a beautiful coastline as well as many traditional villages and rural areas.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with good technical skills to help deliver the council’s program of transport related projects and initiatives.
Salary range of £26,338 to £29,497. Appointment will generally be at the low end of the range, unless candidates have significant knowledge or experience in the relevant field.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who has excellent written and verbal skills with a keen interest in the protection and conservation of the natural environment.
You will support other team members in delivering transportation-related projects and initiatives such as new bike lanes, electric vehicle infrastructure and parking improvements,
Duties will include: performing site inspections and surveys, liaising with contractors and suppliers, preparing specifications and plans, handling customer inquiries, supporting finance applications, assisting with consultation exercises public.
The necessary required
- Solid technical knowledge, preferably in the fields of roads and transport.
- Excellent verbal, written and computer skills, organized approach and good project management skills, ability to conduct site visits and supervise contractors.
- Experience supporting or delivering projects and community engagement.
- 5 GCSEs (Level 4 and above) or equivalent, including English and Maths.
The position requires that you have a full driver’s license.
