Outdoor Adventure Show sets sail and helps support local conservation projects

the QCCA Exhibition Center at Rock Island hosts a Outdoor adventure show This weekend.

The four-day event will feature booths, vendor displays and a Kid’s Kamp area.

Representatives from charters, resorts, government agencies and conservation clubs – like the Rock Island Conservation Club — will be there to point you in the right direction for your next adventure.

If you’re not usually the outdoorsy type, they can help you too, with guest speakers and seminars teaching fishing secrets and tactics.

“The reason we want you to come now is because the Quad City Expo Center is a non-profit coalition,” said Rob Junker, QCCA Expo Center Show Manager. “We organize events like this instead of ringing a bell or going on TV and asking for your support. We get help with organizing events, so your $6 ticket…or $8…or your $1 kid tickets get you in, which helps us donate to conservation projects within a radius of 90 miles, and so far we have over 2 million.

The outdoor adventure show kicked off on Thursday and lasts until Sunday.

Admission is $8 for adults ($7 in advance) and children ages 6-15 are only $1.
