News from N3B in Los Alamos:
N3B Los Alamos team members this week presented a check for $12,740 to local nonprofit LA Cares to support Los Alamos County residents in need of food and financial assistance.
The funds were raised at N3B’s annual charity event, the Danny Nichols Golf and Cornhole Tournament, held June 24 at the Los Alamos County Golf Course – an event planned and coordinated by employees of N3B using volunteer hours.
More than 100 employees, friends, family members and sponsors participated in both events, filling 21 golf foursomes and 16 two-person cornhole teams.
Company employees, vendors and contractors provided additional financial support, including platinum-level sponsors Tech2 Solutions and Longenecker & Associates – both critical N3B contractors – and gold-level sponsors Waste Control Specialists, Raks Building Supply, Los Alamos Technical Associates and Most Wanted Landscaping.
“This was the third year that we have hosted a golf tournament in support of LA Cares and it has been our most successful to date,” said Debby Holgerson, Executive Director and Tournament Director of N3B. “The addition of the cornhole tournament this year allowed even more staff to get involved.”
N3B President Kim Lebak and Vice President/General Manager Joe Legare also actively participated in the event.
“We value our relationship with LA Cares and it is our privilege to support the critical work they do in our community,” Lebak said.
LA Cares President Lyn Haval and several of her board members also joined attendees for lunch that day.
“We are very grateful to the event sponsors and N3B employees,” Haval said. “This contribution makes a major difference in our ability to provide healthy food to our client families and help many others struggling to pay utilities and rent.”
