The role

  • Full time.
  • CDD, 8 month contract. Start date: May 9, 2022 (some flexibilities are available)
  • Based in Melbourne or Perth

We are looking for someone special to join our small but mighty marketing team for an 8 month contract while one of our employees goes on extended furlough. You’ll help our marketing team communicate a quality-focused coffee message that also uses our platform to have a positive impact. If you’ve honed your marketing skills over the past few years and are excited for a new opportunity with an experienced company, this might be the perfect fit for you.

We are an established company spread across the country, with a small marketing team currently wearing many hats. This full-time role would see you undertake a range of exciting activities in the engine room of the Marketing department. You will help deliver our national marketing and advertising plan, overseeing many aspects of design and printing, as well as helping to spread the word and support our vibrant wholesale coffee community.

You will work closely with the other members of our marketing team, our wholesale and account management professionals and will report directly to our marketing manager. While collaboration is key to achieving broader business goals, our day-to-day roles are performed with a great deal of freedom.

What we need from you:

  • Manage the design and printing of many projects.
  • Liaise with our existing vendors and agencies to achieve marketing results.
  • Provide marketing support to our wholesale, B2B sales and account management team.
  • Support in the execution of our sales and promotion plan in the domestic market.
  • Customer service and support for our national customer base and social media channels.

What we need you to have:

  • 3+ years of experience in comparable marketing functions.
  • Awareness and interest in food, wine, coffee and general hospitality culture and trends. (Very favorable coffee experience)
  • Good understanding of design concepts, ability to identify brand aesthetics and provide accurate briefs.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Experience creating and publishing content on digital platforms.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write creative and engaging content.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and alone as needed.

Optional skills we value (not essential but welcome):

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent qualifications.
  • Understanding of the printing system and creation of physical goods.
  • Experience with CMS/Ecomm platforms (ex. WordPress/Shopify)
  • Experience with EDM automation platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, HubSpot, DotDigital).
  • Skills in photography, videography and editing.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro) or similar platform.
