Kaduna Coordinator Wins NASS Leadership Award; harps on NYSC Trust Fund – The Sun Nigeria

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Coordinator in Kaduna State, Mr. Abel Odoba Oche, has emerged in this year’s National Assembly Leadership Award as the best in effective service delivery among the seven states that make up North West Nigeria.

Mr. Odoba also used the occasion to call on key stakeholders, including the National Assembly and award presenters, to enact the approval of the NYSC Trust Fund for Service Delivery Enhancement and Development sustainability of the Nigerian youth mobilization organization.

Presenting the award to the recipient of the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Kurmi Marshi, Kaduna, Deputy Secretary of the Legislative Writers Forum, and Mr. Abraham Ugwaje, said that Odoba appeared after the search in the Northern Seven Zones -West.

According to him, the Legislative Writers Forum (LWF) has more than 50 members spread across mainstream and emerging media.

In response, Odoba dedicated the award to the hardworking program staff in the state, saying their unity has been recognized even outside the state.

“At NYSC, we are seen as the vanguard of national unity. Kaduna State staff work hard and we are always looking where we can improve our services, working as a team, touching lives and shaping characters,” he said.

The State Coordinator however thanked the members of the organization for considering Kaduna State and seeking the support of the organization to propagate the NYSC Trust Fund which will help alleviate some other challenges found in the state.

Earlier, Deputy Director, Head of Human Resources, Mrs LDA Mburi said the recognition was no surprise given Mr Odoba’s pedigrees.

“He is a team leader and a humble person. He undertakes to run the scheme as it stands. Very authentic, daring comrade and trader on the path of light.

“Today we celebrate one of the best leaders in NYSC and we are proud to identify with you. This is a well-deserved award and we hope to see more as he works harder in rewarding the award for more,” she prayed.
