The Library and Information Services Branch (ILS) is seeking to appoint a front-line support officer responsible for providing computer and audio-visual support through the computer service desk and in teaching spaces, labs computers, libraries and staff offices in its 3 campuses.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a flexible and dynamic team of versatile support professionals. You will maintain and support audio-visual and IT equipment in ILS-managed teaching spaces and assist staff and students with software and hardware issues.

You will also provide staff and students with support for general IT, account administration, and other ILS services. Most of your time will be spent in the IT department, handling technical and non-technical inquiries made over the phone and through online methods.

Full experience supporting modern AV systems and Microsoft Office is required, as well as sound experience supporting users in both Windows and MAC operating environments under Active Directory.

You must demonstrate a clear and competent customer orientation, work in a calm and understanding manner, inspire confidence in users and take control of situations that could be technically unpredictable, all in an environment based on service level agreements.

Experience providing audio-visual and IT support is essential, and experience working in a customer-focused help desk, IT service or information service environment is desirable.

Working on other college campuses, working from home (due to COVID) and working evenings and occasional weekends on a rotational basis is an ongoing requirement of this role.
