Communications Support Officer job with the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Council

Join us and play a crucial role in an award-winning communications team.

Communications at Kensington and Chelsea Council have come a long way over the past three years. We are proud of the work we do to keep residents informed, businesses informed and visitors who return to our borough time and time again.

What we do is central to how Council develops and implements policies, which impact people and services in the Borough and help improve lives. Good communication leads to a change of mind or change of heart. That’s our goal for the next term, to build impactful campaigns and projects that make a difference in people’s lives.

Internally, we help drive many of the changes we make as a Board. Team Agents are often the eyes and ears of the people we serve, offering a healthy challenge whenever the organization makes decisions and encouraging to be bold in our ideas.

Over the past two years, our publications have been revamped, our readership has grown and our subscribers have grown. We carefully evaluate our campaigns to ensure value for money and real results. Our digital communications have quickly become some of the best in the Southeast.

As we emerge from Covid-19, which has been one of the most difficult times in recent history, we are already looking to the future and what we can do next. That says a lot about the team we have here at Kensington and Chelsea. We don’t spin. We communicate with the community first and the team cares about what they are doing and who they are doing it for.

In 2019 we aimed to be the best communications team this borough has ever had, now we are setting the bar even higher. Join us and be part of this journey.
