Commissioning Support Officer job with Stoke-on-Trent City Council

The Commissioning Support Officer position is part of the Integrated Commissioning and Partnerships team. This team is split into two, with one covering 0-25 and the other covering 18+ intentionally crossing over to support dialogue and joint planning with our vulnerable 14-25 year old population.

The role of the Commissioning Support Officer will be to support specific projects or commissioning areas within the 0-25 Commissioning Team using a portfolio approach. The successful candidate will be expected to support the development and implementation of go-live strategies, policies and plans in specific service areas to ensure go-live best practices are applied.

The focus is on:

• Provide high quality services

• Negotiate and optimize delivery of results and value for money

• Maximize opportunities to realize added social, economic and environmental value in contracts

•Evidence-based practice

• Compliance with national strategy, guidelines and statutory responsibilities

• Consistency and standard of practice

• Support supplier market management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, from design to contract award

•Initiate and coordinate multi-agency task and finishing groups, to ensure that strategic and operational objectives are achieved.
