Business Support Officer job with North Yorkshire County Council

Are you someone with a passion for ensuring children and youth have access to the right services at the right time and in the right place to meet their needs?

We are looking for an Office Administrator who can work as part of a team to support operational and management teams working with young people and their families in crisis. The role is full time (37 hours per week) in Scarborough, we would consider job sharing if full time work is not for you. Although some office work will be necessary for the right candidate, there will be opportunity for a hybrid approach with a mix of home and office work.

Due to the nature of the role, you must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information.

You will be part of a fun, dynamic and supportive team that does extremely rewarding work to help the teenagers in our care. You will also benefit from a supportive management system, ongoing personal development and performance management process. The training will be accessible to the designated person.

About you

You must have excellent communication and customer service skills, be well organized with excellent ICT skills as well as good literacy and numeracy. You must be able to prioritize your workload to meet tight deadlines and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as work effectively as part of a team. There is a financial aspect to the role as we need to balance a petty cash account for the house so previous money management would be beneficial but not essential.
