Aunt PAM’s BSO – Smoking Cessation Support

Auntie Pam’s provides a Kirklees-wide community resource to support improved health and well-being outcomes around pregnancy and early childhood and is delivered by local women trained as community volunteers. peer support.

At Auntie Pam’s we aim to help women and family members who are going through pregnancy or who have recently had a baby. We offer friendly, professional support and information from our amazing volunteers in the relaxed atmosphere of our city center locations in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.

One of the services provided by Auntie Pam is to help women quit smoking during pregnancy, through direct referrals from local hospital maternity wards and clients accessing Auntie Pam.

The Business Support Officer will work closely with the Services Coordinator and take responsibility for receiving, triaging and assigning Smoking in Pregnancy referrals to Smoking in Pregnancy volunteers.

You will also provide guidance and support to Smoking in Pregnancy volunteers and help facilitate their deployment to undertake their role in Aunt Pam’s centres, remotely and in outreach opportunities across Kirklees, as directed by the service coordinator.

This position is currently based at the two Auntie Pam centers in Dewsbury and Huddersfield. You will need flexibility to work in North and South Kirklees.

The successful candidate will be required to complete Aunt Pam’s mandatory training program and Level 2 Smoking Counselor training as part of their induction.
