Alabama Volleyball Welcomes Sarah Bond as Operations Coordinator

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama volleyball welcomes Sarah Bond as operations coordinator, joining head coach Rahinda Reedthe Crimson Tide support team during his first season with Crimson Tide.

“I’m so grateful and excited to have the opportunity to join the Alabama volleyball team,” Bond said. “I can’t wait to get to work to help build the Crimson Tide volleyball program and be part of the rich tradition here in Alabama. The opportunity to work with such an incredible coaching staff with such a vision strong for the program, a talented group of student-athletes and support staff here in Alabama means the world to me. Roll Tide!”

Bond most recently served as an assistant coach at Drake University, organizing team travel and game day operations while working with the team’s hitters and setters. Prior to working with the Bulldogs, she was an assistant coach at her alma mater University of Illinois Springfield for two years. With the Prairie Stars, she helped develop nine players from all conferences, including a pair of All-Americans. In 2018, they set program records with an overall record of 25-8 and a conference mark of 15-3, winning their first-ever Great Lakes Valley Conference title and qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program’s history.

A native of Naperville, Illinois, Bond played at UIS from 2014-2017, winning the team’s Coaches Award his senior season, and earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees there. In addition to her time in Springfield, she helped the Sports Performance Volleyball Club in Aurora, Illinois for five seasons, hosting high-level training camps across the country.
